56th Annual Calgary Prayer Breakfast Recap

Thank you to all who came, participated, and prayed.
The Bible is the Soul of the West.

As the sun came up behind the stage, Vishal Mangalwadi, Social reformer, Author, and Christian philosopher provided the keynote address for the 56th Annual Calgary Leadership Prayer Breakfast. Mr. Mangalwadi illuminated current news stories and shared past experiences to illustrate the point that unless laws are founded upon God's standards, the laws hold no power, and furthermore, that there is no greater foundation than the Bible. He also exposed some of the origins that influence western thought and culture today. The video of Vishal’s address is not available but a reading of “The Book That Made Your World: How The Bible Created the Soul of Western Civilization” is highly recommended.

Vishal was born and educated in India and began serving India’s destitute in his twenties. When High Caste opponents burnt down his community and attempted to murder and imprison him on politically motivated charges, Vishal determined that he needed to study and learn how the West eradicated chronic poverty and built just, free, and prosperous societies.

Vishal Mangalwadi has lectured in 40 countries, many universities, and to Parliamentarians in the UK, Germany, Brazil, Columbia, Uganda, and India. He has written over 21 books.
